Have been doing some research on a Western Fillet knife; but I’m not finding any answers. Time to ask the pros. The subject knife is a Western (duh) fillet knife, with a 6” blade, and 11” overall. It is stamped W766, with an “F” code. What I’ve learned, or think I’ve learned is that it’s a Model W766, that was made in 1982. An uncle gave my Dad this KA-BAR in 1945.  Dad carried it every day until about 2000, and gave it to me in 2003 or 2004.  I would like to learn anything about it.  (I don't want to sell or trade it as it was my Dad's, and some day I will pass it on.)

It seems to be made of Plasticine or something similar with real hair for the beard, real teeth, and some type of real horn for the hat.

The blade is not high quality and only has stainless printed on it, no names or other markings.
