Еxtreme makeover

Some (A long) time ago a friend brought me a knife and asked me to replace the handle and to make a sheath for it.
It was not so many work to do, but it took me four months and two days. Four months to overcome my lazyness (I'm not lazy, I'm on energy saving mode) and two days to get the job done. As I say - I am the little god of the big delay.
I forgot to take some pics "before", so there is only "after" pics.…

My knife just bit me!

It's true, my Buck 120 just bit me and I bled all over.  Of course, I was using it as a pry bar.  A few years ago a Kershaw Leek stabbed me in my left hand and I met a very nice hand surgeon.   I feel betrayed somehow when something I have an emotional bond with bites me.  Am I crazy or do you other knife people ever feel the same way?

That Knife.

One day little eyes will look over my knife collection with awe and wonder, kinda like I did with my Grandfather's collection when I was little. A tiny finger will point to a knife and a small voice will ask, "tell me about that knife"? My eyes will probably strain to see exactly which knife has drawn the curiosity. "That knife"? Going back in time .

Well I am starting this blog to record my return to an older type of shaving . Like most of us I at present use the ubiquitous supermarket disposable razors , and have done so for , well I don't really know how long . When did these disposable and cartridge type of razors come about ? I guess I have been shaving regularly since I was around 16 which ,as I was born in 1953 , make it around 1969 when I started . I have a memory a very faint one I admit , to having a razor that twisted to open…
